Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund has had an eventful time on loan at SSC Napoli so far. Story so far The Dane was loaned out to the Italian champions at the end of the summer window after the arrival of Benjamin Sesko. Hojlund has performed quite well in Italy and Napoli see his permanent signing as a formality at the end of the season. He has scored nine goals in 22 matches in all competitions this season for Napoli. This has included a huge brace against Juventus and a vital strike against AC Milan in the Serie A title race. Social media action The striker was famous for making social media observations and comments during his time at Old Trafford and has continued to do so at Napoli. After winning the Italian Super Cup last month, he seemed to make a barbed dig at his parent club Manchester United by posting, “What a great decision looks like” beside an image of him lifting the trophy. The striker has once again used social media, but this time to criticise the decision to rule out his goal versus Hellas Verona at the weekend in his side’s frustrating 2-2 draw. The Manchester Evening News reports that “Rasmus Hojlund has taken to social media after his goal for Napoli was ruled out for an alleged handball during Wednesday’s 2–2 draw with Hellas Verona.” The Denmark international wrote on Instagram, “didn’t even touch the ball with the hand. Well, we go again on Sunday. Forza Napoli sempre.” Napoli boss Antonio Conte also couldn’t hide his frustration after the game and claimed, “Hojlund’s goal was disallowed because I don’t know where he should have had that arm. We have to accept them and we accept them.” The striker will next be in action when Napoli travel to the San Siro to take on table-topping Inter Milan in what could be a vital match in the title race.
