Cunha grabbed the equaliser, but this electric star was the true catalyst as United salvaged a point vs. Leeds

Manchester United played out a 1-1 draw with Leeds United at Elland Road. Here are our player ratings from the game. (A score of 6 is around average) Senne Lammens 5 – Didn’t have a lot to do but he was well and truly beaten for the game’s opening strike. Leny Yoro 6 – Came very close to breaking the deadlock for United but he couldn’t quite beat Lucas Perri with his headed attempt. Troubled a bit by the pacy Noah Okafor, who beat him a couple of times on the wing. Ayden Heaven 5 – He was solid until Leeds’ goal, but was left exposed when Brenden Aaronson breezed past him just before scoring. Lisandro Martinez 7 – Another classy performance. Aggressive defensively and classy on the ball. Kept looking for the ball over the top to Benjamin Sesko and other line-breaking passes to the attackers. Almost registered an assist when he set up Diogo Dalot inside the box but the Portugal international skied his effort. Diogo Dalot 4 – Not much end product. Complicit in Leeds’ opener. Manuel Ugarte 6 – Decent shift in the middle of the park, staying busy and involved. While his work rate was positive, there were a few moments where his composure in possession was lacking. He ventured forward for a couple of long-range attempts, but neither found the target. Casemiro 4 – Sloppy again on the ball, constantly giving away possession cheaply. Luke Shaw 6 – In a quiet attacking showing from United, he provided a steady outlet on the left. He got forward well and combined intelligently with Matheus Cunha. Patrick Dorgu 5 – Started brightly, slipping Dalot in and firing a shot at the Leeds goal, but that was just about it from the Dane in a more advanced role. Also played a part in how the Leeds goal came about. Matheus Cunha 7.5 – Excellent finish to draw United level. He was having a laboured day at the office but came alive upon Joshua Zirkzee’s introduction. Came close again but was denied by the post. Benjamin Sesko 3 – Has to do a lot better in terms of holding up the ball. Presented with one or two good chances to score but in yet another game, couldn’t make it count and help United to a comfortable result. Substitutes Joshua Zirkzee 7.5 – Game-changing substitution. Introduced after Leeds took the lead, he immediately provided the attacking spark United were missing, creating the goal for Cunha that turned the momentum. His touches and passes were brilliant and he helped link up play for the visitors.
