Confirmed United XI vs Liverpool: Rashford dropped from squad, Fernandes and Ugarte return

Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes return for Manchester United this afternoon after serving one-match suspensions.

Head coach Ruben Amorim has fielded a strong XI as he aims to kick-start his reign as United boss at a rain and snow-swept Anfield.

Andre Onana is in goal.

The back three are Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez.

Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot are the wingbacks.

Ugarte is joined by Kobbie Mainoo in central midfield.

The front three are Fernandes, Amad and Rasmus Hojlund.

Altay Bayindir is the substitute keeper.

He is joined on the bench by Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Toby Collyer, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Josh Zirkzee.

This means Godwill Kukonki and Marcus Rashford are left out from the squad that faced Newcastle on Monday.

Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Mason Mount are all injured.

Kick-off at Anfield is at 4.30pm GMT.
