Confirmed United XI vs ASEAN All-Stars: Hojlund and Onana start, Moorhouse and Munro set for their first senior minutes

Manchester United’s official season maybe over, but they are preparing to take on ASEAN All-Stars at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Wednesday in Malaysia as part of their two post-season friendlies.

And Ruben Amorim had hinted that he will try to use this time to help his players adapt to his methods while young stars are also likely to get minutes.

Given the disastrous season the club endured, the head coach can ill-afford to take any game lightly with fans desperate to see the club put on a good show.

Given the workload of several players, the Portuguese tactician has chosen to manage the minutes of several players including skipper Bruno Fernandes.

Rest for Bruno Fernandes

There is also no start for Alejandro Garnacho, who has reportedly been asked to find a new club in the summer.

Academy kids Jack Moorhouse, Reece Munro both start while Ayden Heaven, who was praised by Amorim at the press conference, also gets a chance from the off.

Despite his disastrous displays during the season, Rasmus Hojlund still gets the nod while Andre Onana starts in goal. Both players have been linked with exits.

Harty Maguire, Patrick Dorgu also start while Diogo Dalot, who was substituted at half-time against Aston Villa, also gets a start.

Young duo start

In midfield, the tried and tested pair of Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte get the nod while Kobbie Mainoo also makes a start.

Amad also gets a well-deserved rest.
