Confirmed United XI vs Arsenal: Mount, Malacia, Ugarte start, Rashford and Amad benched

Marcus Rashford and Amad have been dropped to the bench by Ruben Amorim for tonight’s tough away tie against Arsenal.

The two players have been on a hot streak of form, but have been sacrificed for a slightly more defensive lineup tonight.

Andre Onana is in goal.

The back three are Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Noussair Mazraoui.

Lisandro Martinez is suspended while Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are injured.

Diogo Dalot reverts to right wing back with Tyrell Malacia at left wing back despite struggling against Bodo/Glimt last Thursday.

Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes occupy central midfield, with Casemiro dropping to the bench and Kobbie Mainoo suspended.

Rasmus Hojlund replaces Josh Zirkzee at centre forward and is flanked by Alejandro Garnacho and Mason Mount.

Altay Bayindir is the reserve keeper on the bench for United tonight.

He is joined by 16 year old Godwill Kukonki, Leny Yoro, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Rashford, Amad, Antony amd Josh Zirkzee.

This means there could be two debuts for United tonight, with Yoro finally in the squad after recovering from surgery on a metatarsal broken on the pre-season tour against tonight’s opponents, Arsenal.

Kick off at the Emirates is at 8.15pm GMT.
