Club ready to offer Zirkzee guaranteed starter status if he joins them in January – report

La Liga club Sevilla have reportedly reached out to Manchester United over the possibility of sealing a January loan deal for Joshua Zirkzee. Zirkzee growing more desperate at United Zirkzee is enduring a difficult 2025/26 season, with the forward struggling to break into Ruben Amorim’s plans at the club. Following the summer signings of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, Zirkzee has seen his playing time reduce significantly. He has yet to start a game this term and has only amassed 82 minutes of top-flight action. Zirkzee is understood to be open to leaving United in January in a bid to earn a place in the Netherlands’ 2026 World Cup squad. While he is desperate to leave, Amorim and United have made it clear that an exit will not be sanctioned mid-season. Amorim’s view is that Zirkzee will have a bigger role in the team when the likes of Mbeumo and Amad are away with their respective national teams for the Africa Cup of Nations. However, a more recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Zirkzee is convinced there is little else he can do to convince Amorim to give him more minutes. The 24-year-old is slowly becoming resigned to the likelihood that his future lies away from Old Trafford. Sevilla have emerged as an interested party in Zirkzee. Last month, Sevilla head coach Matías Almeyda admitted his admiration for Zirkzee and his attributes. Now, Fichajes claim that Sevilla have “asked” United to loan out Zirkzee, with the Spanish club eager to get ahead of the competition for his signature. Sevilla have plan to win Zirkzee race Fichajes contend, “The transfer won’t be easy, as United are unwilling to part with the Dutchman without clear conditions, but the Andalusian club is confident it can present an attractive offer for all parties involved.” “Sevilla sees an opportunity to sign a striker eager to make an impact. According to transfer sources, West Ham and PSV Eindhoven are also vying for his loan, which means Sevilla must act quickly if they want to get ahead of the competition.” The report notes that Sevilla will offer Zirkzee a “key role and a compelling project” to try to convince him that the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium is his best bet. Sevilla are aware that these conditions, alongside offering to cover his full wages, will almost certainly tip the scales in their favour. Zirkzee’s United contract runs until 2029.
