Manchester United are open to shuffling their midfield during the winter transfer window. Kobbie Mainoo is determined to leave Ruben Amorim’s squad, having failed to earn a single Premier League start this season. Given Amorim’s preference for physicality over technical prowess in his midfield, it would be best for United to let their gifted academy product develop elsewhere and bring in a new midfielder. Manchester United interested in Jobe Bellingham It has been widely reported that United want to add an athletic midfielder to their ranks. Ahead of January, United have been linked with Borussia Dortmund youngster Jobe Bellingham, who has been on their radar since his days in the Championship with Sunderland, owing to his incredible athleticism. In October, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United are willing to make an offer for Bellingham, who has struggled to replicate the success of his brother, Jude, in Germany. Dortmund ready to part ways with Bellingham Bellingham, who became Dortmund’s record purchase last summer, has started just four games in the Bundesliga so far. According to Fichajes, Dortmund “regret” signing the Englishman from Sunderland in a deal worth around €30 million. Apart from his performances, Bellingham has received backlash for his attitude and “toxic” inner circle. In August, his father, Mark, allegedly confronted a Dortmund chief outside the dressing room after his son was subbed off at half-time. Dortmund are not happy with the situation and are prepared to cut their losses. The Spanish outlet claim the German giants will not stand in the way of his transfer away from Signal Iduna Park next summer. They would be open to either a permanent or loan exit, with an option to buy. Dortmund have supposedly already given up on the 20-year-old midfielder, but it remains to be seen what United make of his tricky stint.
