Carrington graduate has four PL giants chasing his signature, United set to benefit big time – report

Former Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga is on the radar of numerous Premier League teams.

The Swede joined the United academy in 2014 and made his first team debut in 2021.

He would make 55 senior appearances for the Red Devils, scoring four goals, before being sold to Nottingham Forest in 2023.

Elanga has really taken a step forward this season, scoring six goals and providing 12 assists for the Tricky Trees.

As a result, his reputation has been increasing and Newcastle United have been credited with an interest in signing the player this summer.

TBR Football report that the Magpies will have major competition from the rest of the league for the Carrington product.

It is stated that, “Arsenal are one of several Premier League clubs who have taken an interest in Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga of late.”

The report goes on, “it’s understood that Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Aston Villa have also been watching Elanga closely, a winger with plenty of admirers.”

The former United man is said to be “happy” at the City Ground but is aware of the interest being shown in him from a variety of clubs.

Nonetheless, “Forest will demand in excess of £60 million this summer” for the player and he is certainly in their plans next season as they have secured qualification for European football.

The Red Devils were linked with making a move for their former player in April but with the signing of Matheus Cunha and the likely move for Bryan Mbeumo, it is improbable United would make a move for the player.

The club will be interested in the deal for another reason, however. It has been reported that United have a sell-on clause and could stand to make a few million pounds on any deal, especially if the fee moves north of £50 million.

In a summer where Ruben Amorim’s side have limited financial resources and are desperate to do as much business as possible, the cash injection would be a welcome boost to the club’s transfer war chest.

Proud owner of such niche shirts such as Kleberson, Eric Djemba-Djemba and Gary Neville. Grew up pretending to be Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the back garden, with little success.
