BREAKING: Ruben Amorim awarded Premier League Manager of the Month award

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for October. Other nominees were Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery, and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola. The announcement, on the official Premier League website, explained exactly why Amorim was deserving of this prestigious prize. Amorim’s newest achievement “Amorim guided Manchester United to victory in all three of their matches, the first time the club had won three in a row since he took charge in November 2024,” the article read. What made this feat particularly impressive was United’s 2-1 win over bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield, the first time this has happened in almost a decade. During this time, United also scored four goals to secure a massive 4-2 win over Brighton. It didn’t take long for Amorim to express his delight over his prize. The United boss speaks out “The credit is not mine, the credit is for my players. They did really well, and our goal is to win the next one [award], because it means we win football matches and that is our goal,” Amorim stated after winning the prestigious award. This is the first time that a United manager has won the award since Erik ten Hag in November 2023. Amorim also becomes just the sixth Portuguese manager to clinch the award. Meanwhile, United star Bryan Mbeumo won the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award, a testament to United’s fantastic month of football. It will be interesting to see where United finishes in the Premier League this season, given their recent spike in form, with Amorim leading the charge.
