Blundell of joy! Hannah begins maternity leave

Everyone at Manchester United is excited for Hannah Blundell, as the United Women star officially begins her maternity leave.
The popular full-back announced her pregnancy back in September and has since received ongoing support from the club, as she prepares for an exciting new chapter in her life.
Blundell has been training under expert supervision at Carrington and the entire squad threw her a surprise baby shower as a heart-warming send-off. In case you missed it, you can watch the video below…

A UNITED FAMILY | Earlier this week, our women’s team put together an unforgettable baby shower for Hannah Blundell…
“It’s obviously a big change, but one that I’m so excited for,” says Hannah.
“The girls have been great. Obviously, it’s a big change from being on the pitch for a bit, doing little bits here and there, to now being in the gym, in the pool, I guess just preparing for the little one to come.
“The club have been really good, really supportive. It’s made the journey really smooth, which has helped massively both mentally and physically. It’s been really good. The club have been fantastic through this whole process. It’s been an easy journey in that sense, which has helped me massively off the pitch and obviously hopefully back on the pitch then after the birth.”
Hannah had entered the final 12 months of her contract this season, but an option to extend her deal by a year was triggered and everyone is excited to see her back in action.
Our 2022/23 Players’ Player of the Year is also looking forward to her baby daughter being able to watch her play when she eventually returns to action.
“That’s going to be really exciting,” admits Hannah. “I know in my heart of hearts that I definitely want to come back. Having this, I guess, break has almost made me miss football more.

“I kind of took it for granted before, so it’s a bit of a blessing that I’ve actually missed it.
“So I’m excited to come back and then the thought of her watching me play I think is something that I probably can’t describe until it happens, but it’s something I’m really looking forward to.”
