United launch shock raid for Bundesliga striker with “initial contact made” over summer swoop – Sky Sports DE

Manchester United have made “initial contact” over a potential deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrick Schick, according to Sky Sports Germany.

Bundesliga expert Patrick Berger reveals the Red Devils are “monitoring the situation” of Schick with the 29-year-old forward considered an “interesting” option by Old Trafford officials.

The Sky Sports reporter contends United would “prefer a younger profile” but a reduced price tag – believed to be in the £20-25 million range – could persuade the Mancunian club to compromise, given a constrained transfer budget at Old Trafford this summer.

Tweet: “Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick (29/🇨🇿). #MUFC are in the market for a No.9 and prefer a younger profile – but Schick is also considered interesting. Initial contact was made, but nothing concrete so far. One of many names on the list.

Leverkusen would demand €25-30m for Schick who is under contract until 2027. The Premier League is Schick’s preferred destination. Despite interest from Saudi clubs, a move to the Middle East is currently not an option.”

United are on course to finish with their lowest goal tally in the Premier League are after Sunday’s chastening 4-1 defeat to Newcastle confirmed this season as the worst points tally in the division’s history, with six games to spare.

Only five teams have scored fewer times than Ruben Amorim’s side – Everton, West Ham, Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton – with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee combining for just six goals in the league.

Schick, by comparison, has scored 17 times for reigning Bundesliga champions Leverkusen, with another six in cup competitions this season.

Neither Hojlund nor Zirkzee appear viable as long-term options up front for United. Hojlund’s form has reached such a painful nadir that an exit from Old Trafford appears the best move for both parties, while Zirkzee’s skillset lends itself more to the number ten position, than as a number nine.

And with 17-year-old phenom Chido Obi waiting in the wing, the prospect of adding an experienced striker with a proven record of goal-scoring, such as Schick, may be a sensible short-term solution.

However, Ipswich striker Liam Delap remains the club’s primary target with the 22-year-old’s contract containing a £30 million release clause should the Tractor Boys be relegated. The Englishman’s form this season has impressed many clubs in England, however, creating a red-hot race to win his signature this summer.

Should the Reds prove unsuccessful in this pursuit, Schick offers an affordable alternative at a time when reasonably priced forwards are in short demand.

Dalot embracing attacking challenge

While it was a disappointing day at the weekend in the north east, Diogo Dalot did show again how he is learning to provide the attacking thrust Ruben Amorim demands in his tactical system.

The wing-back burst through to time his pass to perfect to set up Alejandro Garnacho’s accurate finish to equalise during the first half against Newcastle United.

Soon into the second half, the Portugal international rampaged forward again but has claims for a penalty dismissed when he was barged over by Sandro Tonali inside the box.

Dalot’s assist was his second in the last four Premier League games, after also setting up Bruno Fernandes at Leicester City prior to the recent international break, after only one in the division this term before then (for Garnacho at Southampton in September).

MATCH CLIPS | Despite the defeat, this strike from Alejandro Garnacho showed great composure…

Ahead of the must-win Europa League tie with Lyon, it is also worth pointing out how Diogo has been in at the sharp end in that competition.

The defender scored against both FCSB and Real Sociedad as the Reds have remained unbeaten in Europe.

When you consider he also supplied an assist, for Fernandes, in the Emirates FA Cup tie against Fulham last month and hit the bar with a header at Nottingham Forest, he is clearly proving a valuable asset in this regard.

“I’ve started being a little bit more up the pitch,” Diogo explained recently to club media.

“I still think I can get into even better positions and arrive a little bit more, and that’s the challenge I have. The qualities are there.

“It is just trying to adapt also to the new way of playing and trying to help the team as much as I can.”

Dalot has spoken about how managing to add ‘one per cent improvements’ to his regime and game is helping him to cope with the expectations at Old Trafford.

A mainstay of Amorim’s team, the 26-year-old outlined why he is confident of being able to continue supporting the side’s bid for European glory this term.

“I always try to see what can I improve on,” he added. “What can I change? I have that type of belief that there’s always something you can improve.

“So I’m constantly trying to see ways of trying to improve my game, my way of life, the way I live, my profession and my daily life. So, I’m always trying to see the best for me because ultimately, if I have that approach, I think it will benefit the team.

Diogo Dalot is felled inside the box by Sandro Tonali on Sunday.

“Once you start looking at your body as your tool to succeed, to work, then you can start knowing your body a little bit more,” he said. “You know the timings, you know the loads, you know the best ways to recover, the best ways to push even more. And that comes with time.

“I mean, you cannot ask a 18 or 19-year-old player to know their body like that, and even myself, I’m starting now to understand it a little bit, but I think it will take even a couple more years to be to be in the right spot to understand everything about my body.

“So I’m very curious about whether I can improve my game on and off the pitch to be ready. But like I said, ultimately, I think that’s what we have to do to benefit the club.

“It’s a way of trying to get to the best level if you want to be able to play in the way football is going now, which can be 60-70 games per season if you’re at a top-level team. You need to start to be prepared for that because it will get really exhausting for the body [if you don’t].”

United and European giants plotting blockbuster swap deal that could land Amorim Turkish wonderkid – report

Given Rasmus Hojlund’s form for Manchester United this season, it seems appropriate that Ruben Amorim wants to sell him in the summer.

The Dane has three Premier League goals all season while his overall gameplay has also left a lot to be desired. However, INEOS are aware that they will struggle to earn a profit from his sale given his woeful form.

Which is why they have slapped a €60 million price tag on his head with Juventus and Napoli both interested in the 22-year-old.

The Turin-based club might not be able to afford such an extravagant fee especially if they miss out on Champions League qualification and are therefore eyeing a loan deal.

Juve want Rasmus

United have financial constraints of their own and would prefer a direct sale and as per Calciomercato, the prospect of a swap deal could emerge to suit both parties.

Kenan Yildiz is a player the 20-time English league champions like a lot and have been linked with. The Bianconeri would ideally like to hold on to their wonderkid but he represents their best shot at earning a lot of money from a sale in the summer especially if they miss out on the Champions League.

He is valued at a stunning €90 million and has eight goals and five assists this season. The Turkish international can play all across the frontline and fits INEOS’ youth-first approach.

A swap deal would see Juve getting Hojlund, a player they desperately need given all their strikers are expected to leave at the end of the season including Dusan Vlahovic.

“Juventus is at a fundamental crossroads in its season and its technical project. On the one hand, the present is called Kenan Yildiz, reborn under the management of the Croatian coach and on whom the black and white club has chosen to invest economically and in terms of image with the renewal and the number 10 shirt.

“On the other, market evaluations are intertwined that lead the black and white club to look at Manchester United, where the position of Rasmus Hojlund is being studied. All this against the backdrop of an essential objective: qualification for the next Champions League, the deciding factor for future choices.

Swap deal?

“The fate of Juventus and Yildiz are closely tied to qualification for the Champions League. Without participation in the continent’s most prestigious competition, the club would risk losing one of its most promising talents.

“The Juventus management is working to build the attack of the future. With Dusan Vlahovic who has not yet renewed his contract expiring in 2026, Randal Kolo Muani on loan and Arek Milik close to leaving, a real offensive revolution is taking shape. Among the names being considered, that of Rasmus Hojlund stands out.

“The possibility of an operation with Manchester United could turn into a double jam. On the one hand, the English club is looking at Yildiz with growing interest; on the other, Juventus is evaluating Hojlund as an ideal reinforcement for the attack.”

A player plus cash deal for Yildiz would be a great deal for United but should Igor Tudor’s men qualify for the Champions League, this situation will be rendered moot. They are currently fourth and in control of their own destiny.

Shock PL club “advancing in talks” to snatch history-making wonderkid from under United’s nose – report

Aston Villa are reportedly closing in on Rosenborg wonderkid and long-term Manchester United target Sverre Nypan.

United’s interest in Nypan can be traced as far back as 2023, when it was mentioned that they had spent a considerable chunk of the year scouting him. It was then subsequently claimed that the Red Devils were leading the race to sign Nypan, who is also believed to have admirers at multiple other clubs in Europe including Manchester City, Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund.

In January, Nypan jetted to England, prompting speculation that the visit was intended to aid in selecting his next club. However, he ultimately remained at Rosenborg beyond the conclusion of the winter transfer window.

Interest in the 18-year-old is beginning to mount ahead of the summer, and according to journalist Ole Sagbakken, Unai Emery’s Villa have emerged as the leading contenders to secure the midfielder’s services.

Siste: Går mot Aston Villa for Nypan https://t.co/XIxeEORdEF

— Ole K. Sagbakken (@Ole_Saga) April 14, 2025

This information has been corroborated by Fabrizio Romano who wrote on X, “Aston Villa are advancing in talks to sign 18-year-old Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan.”

“Negotiations underway on both club and player side as Ole Sagbakken reported, as Villa presented their project weeks ago.”

“Talks ongoing to win the race over Man City/Girona and Arsenal.”

David Ornstein of The Athletic adds that “there is optimism at Villa Park” that Nypan wants to join them, although an agreement over personal terms still needs to be struck. Villa must also agree a fee with Rosenborg.

A deal is yet to be finalised, potentially leaving the door open for United should they decide to make a late swoop for the teenager, who has previously admitted to being a fan.

Nypan made history in 2022 by becoming Rosenborg’s youngest-ever player, debuting at just 15 years and 322 days old. A native of Trondheim, he began his football journey with local academy side Nardo before making the switch to Rosenborg that same year.

He has often drawn comparisons to Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard but Nypan is arguably more all-rounded. In addition to playing as a 10, the youngster can also be deployed to great effect as a No 8.

Meanwhile, United are back in action on Thursday when they host Lyon in the return leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie.

United launch ambitious move to sign incredible 20-yo star “in recent hours”, readying €60m bid – report

Manchester United have stepped up their efforts to sign Arda Guler from Real Madrid, as per reports.

Real beat a host of clubs, including Barcelona, to sign Guler from Fenerbahce after seeing how brilliantly he led the side’s attack following the departure of Mesut Ozil.

The weight of the iconic number 10 shirt did not bother the then-teenager who played across the frontline and registered six goals and seven assists for his boyhood club during the 2022/23 season.

In 2023, he moved to Santiago Bernabeu, but the Turkish wonderkid has struggled to live up to the expectations so far.

Despite showing glimpses of his incredible potential in Spain, Guler has not managed to cement his place in Carlo Ancelotti’s lineup, owing to strong competition at the club. Ancelotti has handed him just eight starts in La Liga and one in the Champions League this campaign.

A report in Spain suggests United are looking to take advantage of his tricky situation in the Spanish capital.

According to Fichajes, United’s interest in Guler has emerged “in recent hours”.

It is claimed the Premier League giants are “willing to pay a fee close to €60 million” (£51.6m) to secure the Real winger’s services.

There is a belief that Guler can realise his potential elsewhere, as he would enjoy more playing time to rediscover his confidence.

The development has also led to comparisons with former Los Blancos talent Martin Odegaard, who left the club to join Arsenal, where he has developed into a top attacking midfielder.

Known for his close control and tendency to glide past players in tight spaces, the Turkey international could prove to be a good option for the wide playmaker role under Ruben Amorim. The Red Devils have appeared devoid of any creativity under the Portuguese tactician.

Having said that, United’s budget is expected to be very limited during the summer transfer window, making it very difficult for the Mancunians to spend north of £50m on an underperforming talent. As such, it is best to take the claim with a pinch of salt.

Europa League preview: United v Lyon

Tuesday 15 April 2025 08:00

Manchester United’s Europa League quarter-final with Lyon is poised on a knife edge, as we approach Thursday’s second leg.

Rayan Cherki’s injury-time equaliser in France levelled the scores at 2-2, after goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro had threatened to give us an advantage heading back to Manchester.

Ruben Amorim’s men thrashed Real Sociedad 4-1 in our last European match at Old Trafford and a similar performance and result would be most welcome as we bid to keep our season alive.

Here’s what you need to know before the first whistle on Thursday…

HOW TO WATCH AND FOLLOW

The second leg is being broadcast live on TNT Sports in the UK, with kick-off set for 20:00 BST.

Match highlights will be available from midnight.

TEAM NEWS

The Reds welcomed Luke Shaw back at Newcastle United on Sunday, as the England international returned from his four-month lay-off during the closing stages.

Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount were also involved off the bench, and Amorim has a decision to make in regards to whether any of the trio is able to perform from the start against Les Gones.

Casemiro and Harry Maguire were unused substitutes as Ruben rotated, presumably with Thursday in mind, but Joshua Zirkzee is set to miss out after pulling up clutching his hamstring at St James’ Park.

Andre Onana was left out on Tyneside, with Altay Bayindir playing in his stead, while Amad, Toby Collyer, Matthijs de Ligt, Jonny Evans and Lisandro Martinez have all been injured.

Like Amorim, Paulo Fonseca also made five changes to his side, as Lyon won 3-1 away at Auxerre. We await news on Fonseca’s travelling squad but Ernest Nuamah is out for the rest of the season, after being injured against Lille a week ago.

Tanner Tessman and Paul Akoukou were both okay at the weekend after initially being flagged as doubts. Malick Fofana is closing on a return and could hope to feature. Former Red Nemanja Matic started in midfield after being an unused substitute in the first leg.

PAST MEETINGS

This will be Lyon’s third competitive visit to Old Trafford and the French outfit are still looking for their first win in M16.

A 2004 Champions League group-stage game went United’s way, 2-1, with Ruud van Nistelrooy scoring the winner after Mahamadou Diarra had levelled Gary Neville’s opener.

Four years later, Cristiano Ronaldo helped the Reds edge a tight last-16 tie against Alain Perrin’s side. The Portuguese found the bottom corner just before half-time, giving United a 10th straight home victory in Europe and a 2-1 success on aggregate.

DID YOU KNOW?

United remain unbeaten in 11 Europa League games this season (W6 D5). The last time we began a European campaign unbeaten across our opening 11 matches we eventually went on to lose 3-1 in the 2010/11 Champions League final against Barcelona.

Since the start of last season, Rasmus Hojlund has recorded 12 goal contributions for Manchester United across European competition (10 goals, 2 assists). Among Premier League players to have recorded 10 or more in that time, only Mohamed Salah (80) and Bukayo Saka (88) have a better minutes-per-goal contribution ratio than the Denmark international (96).

We’ve won each of our last four home Europa League matches, last winning more in a row in the 2019/20 campaign. The Reds have lost one of our last 29 home games in the competition (W22 D6).

Thanks to Opta.

Liverpool star ready to ‘quit’ in Premier League transfer target XI with several Man Utd targets

This summer’s Premier League transfer window is shaping up to be very, very busy, with multiple inter-league moves on the cards.

Bournemouth are expected to lose at least three key players, Liverpool’s second-choice goalkeeper has to leave and Matheus Cunha’s release clause is waiting to be triggered.

Here is a Premier League transfer target XI to get you excited for what’s to come…

GK: Caoimhin Kelleher (Liverpool)
With Giorgi Mamardashvili officially joining at the end of the season and Alisson still under contract for another year, Kelleher would be crazy to stay at Liverpool.

Some believe he should have left the Reds to be a No. 1 elsewhere a long time ago but Kelleher has played a decent number of minutes under both Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot.

West Ham have been linked this week and that feels like a good move for him. The issue is that West Ham always seems to feel like a ‘good move’ for players but it very rarely works out that way…

RB: Kyle Walker-Peters (Southampton)
We are not entirely convinced there will be significant interest in Southampton right-back Kyle Walker-Peters, but options in this position remain limited. After the Saints’ relegation in 2022/23, a Premier League transfer felt inevitable. Instead, the former Spurs defender stayed put and played a key role in helping the club earn promotion at the first attempt.

A season in the Championship didn’t dent Walker-Peters’ reputation or market value, but the 2024/25 campaign has been a tough one for him and Southampton as a club.

CB: Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth)
The Athletic rarely get transfer stuff wrong. If they say Huijsen is expected to join another Premier League this summer, then Huijsen will join another Premier League club this summer.

The 20-year-old cost Bournemouth around £15million last summer and when he departs, it will likely be for the £50million release clause in his contract. Newcastle United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all very keen and it’s not difficult to see why; Huijsen has been fantastic in his maiden Premier League campaign.

Will Liverpool have to choose between him and Ibrahima Konate?

READ MORE: Premier League signings of the season: Man City winger third, two Nottingham Forest buys in top 10

CB: Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton)
It was hard to choose between Nottingham Forest’s Murillo, Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi and Everton youngster Branthwaite, and we have gone with the latter simply because there are players from the other two clubs in this XI.

Manchester United appear to be the only club extremely keen on signing Branthwaite this summer. It’s surprising that Man City are not looking to sign another John Stones but there is still time for them to register interest and comfortably beat their ‘rivals’ to his signature.

Liverpool are also reportedly keen but Everton fans do not want to think about that.

LB: Milos Kerkez (Bournemouth)
Liverpool urgently need to replace Andy Robertson. And who better than Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez? Honestly, we don’t have an answer to that.

The Cherries have gone off the boil in recent weeks after an incredible run of form but that will not impact interest in Kerkez. Liverpool are perfect for him and he is perfect for Liverpool.

DM: Carlos Baleba (Brighton)
Since joining Brighton from Lille in 2023, Baleba has made a significant impact and is widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s top young midfielders. The 21-year-old is an asset defensively and a menace offensively, making him a desirable signing for all of the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’.

A summer transfer could be on the cards with all of the ‘Big Six’ clubs linked at one point or another, while there is also reported interest from Aston Villa.

DM: Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)
Not only has England international Wharton attracted attention from clubs in the Premier League, but Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also believed to be keen admirers.

Wharton looks ready to make the step up to a bigger club and it could happen this summer.

RW: Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford)
Newcastle fans are clamouring for Mbeumo to come to the Toon. The general consensus is that the Magpies need a right-winger but Jacob Murphy is doing his utmost to prove to Eddie Howe that he is the man for the job. Murphy might be one of the biggest success stories under Howe but the point still stands and Mbeumo would be an ideal addition.

There is plenty of competition for the Cameroonian’s signature, with Arsenal seeking more attacking depth and Manchester United seeking any form of attacking quality.

AM: Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest)
Replacing Kevin De Bruyne will be damned near impossible for Manchester City, but it’s a task they must undertake this summer. Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz seems like the player for the job but the champions might look at their Premier League counterparts, with Forest’s Gibbs-White emerging as a serious candidate.

There is only one year separating Gibbs-White and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze but the former was strongly linked by a reliable outlet last week. Other clubs have been linked with the Forest star over the last year but if City are in the race, they will probably sign him.

LW: Matheus Cunha (Wolves)
Cunha signed a new contract with Wolves earlier this season, but it doesn’t mean he’s staying. In fact, the new deal includes a £60million release clause, which signals that a move is on the cards.

Cunha is clearly a level above Wolves (he makes the Premier League XI of the season so far) and is destined for a move this summer.

Antoine Semenyo certainly deserves an honourable mention. Like Huijsen and Kerkez, he is expected to leave Bournemouth.

ST: Liam Delap (Ipswich Town)
At least half of the Premier League want Delap and for £30million, it is hard to blame them. In a struggling Ipswich side, the 22-year-old has an impressive 12 goals in 31 Premier League appearances, raising the question: how many could he score in a decent team?

Well, that question might be answered next season with Arsenal interested. We might continue to ask that question if he moves to Chelsea or Manchester United.

United poised to pounce for top PL goalkeeper, player keen to play for a big English club – report

Ruben Amorim is having a tough time trying to pick who starts in goal for Manchester United’s season-defining Europa League quarter-final second leg fixture on Thursday.

Andre Onana was culpable for both the goals the Red Devils conceded against Olympique Lyonnais in the first leg and the head coach rightly dropped him for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Newcastle.

However, Altay Bayindir, who got his first start in the English top-flight, did not cover himself in glory at St James’ Park and was culpable for the fourth goal the Magpies scored on the day.

The Portuguese tactician is not a fan of the Cameroonian and wants him gone in the summer with INEOS even reducing his asking price in a bid to get rid while the backup keeper is eyeing a move back to his homeland.

Goalkeeping conundrum

Apart from a striker, the 20-time English league champions will now also be eyeing a keeper with plenty of names doing the rounds.

Given funds will be tight, the co-owners will prefer an experienced name who can bring solidity to the backline and The Sun have claimed Southampton’s Aaron Ramsdale has emerged as a genuine target.

The former Arsenal star is likely to leave after the Saints suffered the ignominy of the earliest relegation in the competition’s history.

While the team from St Mary’s conceded goals galore, the England international actually emerged with his reputation enhanced and has multiple suitors both in England and abroad with United scouts regularly watching him in action.

As per Fotmob, Ramsdale has made 105 saves in the league, which places him in the 95th percentile among goalies. He also saved two penalties, the most among his peers in the top-flight.

West Ham United are also eager to sign him while there is interest from abroad but the 26-year-old is eyeing a move to a top Premier League club in the summer.

Ramsdale being eyed

“MANCHESTER UNITED are among a number of clubs monitoring Aaron Ramsdale as they bid to fix their goalkeeping crisis. Securing a new goalkeeper is becoming a more pressing issue for Amorim, and Ramsdale – also being closely monitored by West Ham – has emerged as a possible target.

“The former England, Arsenal, and Sheffield United shot-stopper is set to leave relegated Southampton at the end of the season. Despite being part of a horror season for the Saints, Ramsdale has emerged with his reputation intact and is still seen as one of the best goalkeepers in the country.

“United have been watching his recent games, and think his Premier League experience could make him a strong option to help resolve their issues in leaking goals. But United face a fight with West Ham. Graham Potter is believed to have identified Ramsdale as a key target in his summer rebuilding job at the London Stadium.

“Ramsdale is also being courted by clubs abroad. But SunSport understands his preference is to stay in England and in the Premier League to help nail down a place in the England squad.”

The Englishman was signed by Southampton for €21 million and he currently has a market value of €16 million. Whether United sign him up will be interesting to see.

United ready to submit their opening offer of €45 million for “the best striker in Serie A” – report

Manchester United might need to finish the season with only the woefully out-of-form Rasmus Hojlund as their only striking option after what happened on Sunday.

Following the Dane’s disastrous showing against Olympique Lyonnais on Thursday, Ruben Amorim rightly dropped him from the starting XI for the game against Newcastle United.

His replacement Joshua Zirkzee was having a decent game as he showed flashes of brilliance before suffering what seemed like a hamstring injury.

After the match, the head coach revealed that the former Bologna ace will miss the Europa League quarter-final second leg tie this coming Thursday which means the Denmark international is the only recognised centre-forward at the coach’s disposal.

New striker needed

The 22-year-old has managed a meagre three Premier League goals all season and the Portuguese tactician wants him gone in the summer with Juventus open to a loan deal.

The Red Devils will need a quality replacement but with their budget tight and Champions League qualification still hanging in the balance, a move for Viktor Gyokeres seems unlikely.

Victor Osimhen’s wages could be a stumbling block while Liam Delap prefers a move to a Champions League club. With the club running out of options, CaughtOffside have claimed that the 20-time English league champions could go after Juve’s Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbian, who won the Best Striker of Serie A award last summer, has 14 goals in all competitions as well as five assists, not his most prolific season.

On top of that his current deal expires in 2026 and so far, all attempts from the Bianconeri to extend his deal have failed as they do not want to continue paying the Serbian’s current wages of €373,846 gross per week (via capology).

The Turin-based outfit had signed the former Fiorentina man for €83.5 million back in 2022 and are looking to sell for around €50 million in the summer.

And as per the report, English clubs such as United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle are all interested and are ready to pay €45 million to land the Serbia international.

Vlahovic an option

“Dusan Vlahovic remains one of the most talked-about players ahead of the summer transfer window. The player’s salary, signing bonuses and gross earnings of €23 million per season have complicated Juventus’ economic planning. Under these circumstances, the club is open to the idea of disposing of the player before his contract expires in 2026.

“Sources have revealed to CaughtOffside that Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle United are seriously interested in Vlahovic. In addition, European giants such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich have also put Vlahovic on their radar.

“Sources indicate that Premier League clubs could submit offers of around €45 million for the Serbian striker.”

Vlahovic has never truly captured the form he had shown at Fiorentina since his move to Turin and the lack of minutes this season have not helped. A change is scenery would do him a world of good.

United had tried for him in January as well and whether INEOS opt for him in the summer remains to be seen. He is not Premier League-proven but would cost a lot less than Gyokeres or Osimhen.
