Benjamin Sesko launches direct appeal to his biggest Man United fan after goal which set Old Trafford alight

It would be fair to say Benjamin Sesko has found life tough as Manchester United’s new centre-forward following his mega money move from RB Leipzig this summer.

The Slovenia international failed to register in his first five appearances for the club and looked somewhat short of confidence in his new high pressure surroundings.

However, goals in back-to-back games have done wonders for the big striker, who notched his first strike at Old Trafford this weekend after a smart finish in the defeat to Brentford a week prior.

A close-range effort doubled United’s lead against Sunderland and gave the Theatre of Dreams their first glimpse of his trademark leap and fist pump celebration.

Sesko’s appeal to United supporter

As reported by the club’s official website, the big striker was buzzing to get off the mark at Old Trafford and equally delighted with the response of the home faithful.

So much so that he is trying to get in touch with a certain individual in the Stretford End who was seen celebrating the new man’s goal to the fullest, on Saturday

The individual in question is highlighted on manutd.com, who are attempting to facilitate a way for Sesko to show his gratitude.

The 22-year-old spoke on the incredible atmosphere in the stadium after his goal, on a day he will remember for the rest of his life.

“The goal, the atmosphere afterwards was unbelievable. It’s something that I’ve been dreaming about, jumping high at the stadium like that, and yeah – (my) dreams came true,” he told MUTV.

Hope of more to come

With the monkey now firmly off his back, Sesko will be hoping his repeat strikes will lay the foundation for a good run of form as United attempt to climb the Premier League table.

Next up for United is the blockbuster trip to Anfield which Sesko is a sure fire starter for should he come back from the international break unscathed.

A goal in a positive result behind enemy lines would well and truly cement his place in the hearts of the United fans who will be desperate to get one over on their old rivals.
