Ruben Amorim is in with a chance of winning his first Premier League Manager of the Month award.

Our Portuguese head coach has been nominated for March’s prize, with voting now open via the league’s official website.

Due to the Emirates FA Cup fifth round taking place, plus the recent internationals, it has been a quieter time in the top-flight.

United had only two league appointments during March but both delivered positive performances and results.

We had the better of a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford, as Bruno Fernandes curled home a superb free-kick just before half-time.

While Declan Rice equalised for the Gunners, the Reds had the better of the second-half opportunities and we were unlucky not to find a winner late on.

A week later, Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho ended their scoring droughts at Leicester City, while Fernandes added a late goal – his sixth of the month – as the Foxes were comprehensively dispatched.

Amorim is up against another coach whose side won once and drew once during the month, with Brighton’s Fabian Hurzeler aiming to replicate his success in this category from August.

Nuno Espirito Santo, of our next opponents Nottingham Forest, has also been nominated, after the Tricky Trees beat Manchester City and Ipswich Town.

HELP RUBEN WIN

You can cast your vote for Amorim now on the Premier League’s website.

Make sure you take part in the poll before the closing date, at midday on Monday 31 March.

The winner will then be announced at 12:00 BST next Friday.
