Ruben Amorim has addressed the latest bout of speculation regarding Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes.

Our Player of the Year is reportedly attracting attention from elsewhere, and admitted after the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur that, if the club decided to cash in on his talents, then he may have to accept the situation.

However, his fellow countryman Amorim has reiterated his stance on the matter, reaffirming the midfielder’s love for United and how he plans to show Bruno that next season is going to be much better than 2024/25 for the Reds.

“It is important for Bruno to see that we are changing a lot of things in our club,” Amorim told TNT Sports, who are screening our final-day game against Aston Villa live in the UK.

“The behaviour, the everyday organisation, the pace of training. All these things, if he sees that we are doing that across all levels, he will want to stay at this club. He loves this club.

“That is the most important thing, not the Champions League. He wants to win with this club and he trains and behaves at a high level. Everybody here needs to do that – he will be here for that.”

Fernandes is two goals shy of 100 in all competitions for the Reds, and has scored more times (seven) against Villa than any other opponents.

The Portugal international is our leading marksman in the Premier League this season, with eight goals to his name.
