Manchester United showed real desire and determination in the summer transfer window to revamp their attack. Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo were all wanted men this summer, but the Red Devils fought off competition to secure their services. Their proactive approach has already been rewarded, with the team showing significant improvement on the pitch this season. Amorim’s team now sit seventh in the Premier League table, just two points behind third-placed Chelsea. However, INEOS are already planning for the future. United ready to break the bank for Adeyemi A recent report relayed by The Peoples Person states that United have their eyes on Borussia Dortmund speedster Karim Adeyemi. The German forward’s contract with the Bundesliga club expires in 2027, and he is yet to sign a new deal. Adeyemi has been in fine form this season, registering six goal contributions from 14 games. However, it now appears that prising him away from Signal Iduna Park at the turn of the year may not be easy. Move unlikely in the winter According to a source speaking to Football Insider, it will be difficult for United to secure Adeyemi’s signature in January. “Manchester United will have to pay £60million to sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.” “Adeyemi has been linked with a move to Man United, amid rumours that he is unsettled at the German club. The 23-year-old’s Dortmund contract runs until the summer of 2027, but talks over a new deal have stalled. “Sources say that it will still be difficult for Ruben Amorim to sign the German in January though, due to his high asking price.” The report, however, adds that United could hold on to Joshua Zirkzee in the winter and return for Adeyemi at the end of the season, when the German’s price tag is likely to drop. The Dutch striker’s future at Old Trafford is hanging by a thread after struggling for game time this season. A recent report relayed by The Peoples Person states that he is keen to join AS Roma in the winter to resurrect his career.
