Manchester United has expanded its offering for fans of all faiths on matchday by introducing a new multi-faith room at Old Trafford on the stadium footprint.

United is committed to ensuring all supporters feel welcome and has worked closely with the Fans’ Forum and Muslim Supporters’ Club on plans for the space, which will supplement existing quiet rooms in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, Sir Bobby Charlton Stand and accessible seating areas.

The new multi-faith room is situated in W2 car park behind the Stretford End and will be in available to supporters for the first time at the Leicester FA Cup home game, taking place on Friday 7 February.

The space can accommodate up to 20 fans at any given time and will be open to supporters to enter 30 minutes before kick-off, throughout the game and for 30 minutes after the final whistle.

Our Muslim Supporters’ Club has provided prayer mats for the multi-faith room and the club is continuing to work with fans and supporter groups around additional ways to make the space as welcoming as possible.

Ghulam Haydar, co-founder of the Muslim Supporters’ Club said:

“This collaboration marks a significant step for MUMSC and Manchester United in creating a more inclusive experience. From the very beginning, this has been one of our key goals, and we’re grateful for the club’s commitment and support in making this happen. It’s been a rewarding journey working together to address important needs, and we’re excited about the positive impact this will have on the global United community.”

Rick McGagh, director of fan engagement said:

“Football brings people of all faiths, backgrounds and cultures together and as a club we are committed to ensuring Old Trafford is an inclusive and welcoming stadium for all fans. We are delighted to have worked with our official Manchester United Muslim Supporters’ Club and Fans’ Forum to create this new space for fans on a matchday and we thank them for their support and help.”

HOW TO ACCESS

Fans entering the multi-faith room before or after the game can do so without pre-registration. Fans accessing the facility pre-match must do so before entering the stadium.

To manage numbers and the safety of all supporters on matchday, fans making use of the space during the game are recommended to pre-register via the form below on a match-by-match basis.

REGISTER HERE

It is advised to register at least 48 hours before the selected fixture.

ROOM ACCESS DURING A GAME

  • Pre-register with your name and Supporter ID via  this form.
  • Please leave your seat, return to the turnstile and alert a steward that you wish to use the multi-faith room. A steward will allow you to exit the stadium via the exit turnstile.
  • On arrival at the multi-faith room, present your match ticket to the member of staff managing access. You will be presented with a wristband on entry.

RE-ENTERING THE STADIUM

  • Return to your turnstile, present your match ticket and wristband to a steward. You’ll then be searched before you re-enter the stadium.
  • Please note, we cannot permit re-entry once the main exit gates are open. This is usually 10 minutes before full time.
