Manchester United have so far only confirmed the signing of Matheus Cunha for the senior team.
Just like last season, they have made youth recruitment a priority and a deal was recently closed for 16 year old centre back Harley Emsden James.
The Red Devils also finalised a move for 18 year old French striker Enzo Kana-Biyik earlier in the summer.
The forward exclaimed that he was “happy and proud” to move to a club like United but he will continue his football education elsewhere for the time being.
Lausanne-Sport move
It was widely reported that Ineos owned Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport would make a loan move for the forward and this is exactly what has occurred.
The club’s official website confirmed the move yesterday and claimed, “FC Lausanne-Sport is pleased to announce the arrival of Enzo Kana Biyik on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.”
The 18 year old had a fantastic record in the Le Havre academy, scoring nine goals in 16 appearances.
The youngster was also called up for the team’s senior squad twice last season and he ultimately secured a blockbuster move to Old Trafford.
“A great eye for goal”
Lausanne-Sport are clearly delighted with their capture as they describe the attacker as a “pure talent.”
They continued to lavish praise on him by asserting, “Enzo is a powerful and technical striker with a great eye for goal.”
It was also confirmed that he will wear the number 22 for the Swiss side this season.
His new club will be in action on Thursday 24th July when they compete in the second round of Conference League qualification, where Kana-Biyik could make his first team debut.
