Manchester United face several key decisions in the summer transfer window as Marcus Rashford reportedly attracts attention from a new club
Manchester United are edging closer to the start of the new season as the transfer window continues. Michael Carrick’s team have secured several new additions as the manager seeks to strengthen his squad.
Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos have been central to United’s midfield revamp following Casemiro’s move to Inter Miami. Goalkeeper Karl Darlow has also signed, along with young shot-stopper Kit Margetson and attacking talent Tynan Thompson.
United have been linked with potential moves for several targets, including Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly and Newcastle full-back Lewis Hall. However, Marcus Rashford’s future continues to be a subject of speculation after Barcelona’s decision not to sign the forward on a permanent basis.

Marcus Rashford given fresh transfer route
Turkish heavyweights Fenerbahce have reportedly made contact over a potential move for Marcus Rashford. The 28-year-old faces an uncertain future at United after Barcelona chose not to activate their £26million buy option at the end of his loan spell.
The Sun reports that Fenerbahce are willing to “break the bank” for Rashford should the England international be open to joining the club. It is claimed that the forward features on a three-man shortlist, alongside Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.
It is reported that Fenerbahce have approached Rashford’s representatives to assess his interest in making the switch. Rashford contributed 14 goals and 14 assists for Barcelona last season, yet the Catalan giants opted to bring in forwards Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi this summer.
“What I can say about Marcus is I appreciate a lot to work with him,” Barcelona boss Hansi Flick said. “Sometimes it’s not always that you do know what happens with players who are on loan. I think our situation is not easy for that.
“But I appreciate working with him a lot; he’s a fantastic player and a fantastic person. I think also the team miss him, I will miss him, but it’s life, this is what we have to accept.”
Bayern Munich stance on Benjamin Sesko
Bayern Munich have reportedly maintained their interest in United striker Benjamin Sesko. The German outfit previously weighed up a move for the forward and continue to regard the 23-year-old as potentially forming part of the club’s long-term transfer strategy.
CFBayern Insider reports that Sesko remains a “very interesting” option for the club. Harry Kane spearheads Bayern’s attack but it is claimed that the England captain could adopt a deeper role in the future, creating room for another centre forward.
Bayern have brought in Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven, lessening the need to sign another new striker. However, the report adds that Sesko remains on Bayern’s list of options. The Slovenian international ended his first campaign at United by scoring seven goals in 13 appearances under Carrick.
