Manchester United announce departure of winger Galton

Manchester United have announced the news that winger Leah Galton will leave the club when her contract expires this summer. The Red Devils announced the player’s departure via a post on their official club website this afternoon. Galton is one of the original members of Manchester United’s senior side, having joined the club when the team was formed in 2018. The 31-year-old celebrated winning the Barclays WSL2 title with the club in their inaugural season. In total, Galton has gone on to make 171 appearances for Manchester United in which she has scored 44 goals. She won the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with the club for the very first time in 2023/2024 while she has also represented The Red Devils in European competition. Galton is very much a Manchester United legend and her achievements with the club will never be forgotten. After her Manchester United exit was announced, Galton said “I never thought I would be here for this long and still doing the thing I love doing, so Im always proud of how far Ive come. Its been a journey and Im just happy to have done it here.
