A rollercoaster season After struggling massively in front of goal last season, Rasmus Hojlund sealed a loan move to SSC Napoli in Italy. He has had an up-and-down season, as he is currently joint fifth top scorer in the league with 10 Serie A goals. Nonetheless, he has also spent a significant amount of time not scoring and failing to contribute much else in matches. Performance versus Cremonese Hojlund returned to form by forcing an own goal and delivering a strong overall performance as Napoli ran out 4-0 winners against Cremonese. The Dane carried the ball forward and raced towards the box. He unleashed an effort at goal, and the ball deflected off Filippo Terracciano, completely wrong-footing the keeper. Hojlund was substituted after 61 minutes with the home side 4-0 up and coasting towards an important win in the Champions League race. He took four shots on goal, but none hit the target and one effort was blocked by the defence. The striker also completed 100% of his dribble attempts and made two key passes in the match, creating one big chance. Hojlund also won both his ground duels and two out of three of his aerial battles in a strong night’s work for the 23-year-old. Their victory means Napoli stay in second and have an 11-point lead ahead of fifth-placed Como. Napoli and Hojlund’s next fixture will be a tough-looking trip to Como on Saturday, 2nd May, where they could clinch a top four place with a victory.
