The news outlet further states, “The Bianconeri, long admirers of the 31-times capped Azzurri midfielder, believe Tonali harbours a genuine desire to return to Serie A and sources suggest that wish, seen as the player’s ideal, does give Juve a transfer chance.” “Tonali himself has spoken positively about life at St James’ Park. Yet the pull of a return to Italy remains a sentimental and strong factor…” It’s understood that the main hurdle for Juventus is Newcastle’s valuation of Tonali. The Tyneside club want as much as £100m for the 25-year-old, a figure that is simply beyond the Old Lady’s capabilities. Newcastle have no desire to lose Tonali but circumstances may ultimately force them to let him go.
