Jacob Devaney Devaney has been gaining valuable first-team experience in the Scottish Premiership for St Mirren. He played the entire 90 minutes of their closely-fought 0-1 defeat to title challengers Glasgow Rangers. Devaney was excellent on the ball, completing 94% of his passes on the day. The youngster also completed his only dribble attempt in the match. He was highly involved, having 70 touches of the ball and did not shy away despite facing such illustrious opponents. Devaney also won five of his ground duels and two tackles in a strong, combative display. He also made two interceptions and one clearance in a good defensive showing for his side. Devaney could next be in action when St Mirren face Falkirk on Saturday afternoon, when he could come up against fellow United youngster Ethan Williams. He made one key pass in the match but failed to have a shot during his limited time on the pitch. Kana-Biyik did win his only aerial duel in the game, though, as he tried to help his side find a consolation goal. His teammate Sekou Kone did not get off the bench in the match. The United duo could be in action next Sunday when Lausanne travel to Luzern. Hannah Blundell United Women had a disappointing day, losing the League Cup final 0-2 to Chelsea, but their loanee Blundell was successful. She helped Everton Women to an impressive 2-1 win away to Tottenham Hotspur. Blundell made one tackle, two clearances, and one interception in the game. She also completed 100% of her ground duels and managed to play one key pass in the game. The full-back will not feature in Everton’s next game as they travel to the Progress with Unity Stadium to take on United next Saturday lunchtime.
