“Last I heard…”: Insider quashes talk of United star picking up an injury ahead of Palace test, fans will be relieved – report

Manchester United are gearing up for Sunday’s all-important Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. A win at the Theatre of Dreams will see the Red Devils rise to third place in the Premier League table, not something that many fans would have thought possible when Ruben Amorim was around. Michael Carrick is having to deal with a glut of injuries of late, with Lisandro Martinez joining the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Patrick Dorgu and Mason Mount on the sidelines. The Carrington graduate has just started playing regularly after Amorim’s repeated rejections, and he has been in great form. But Sully, known for his accurate takes on the club’s inner dealings, has revealed that the 20-year-old has not picked up an injury and should be good to go for the game against the Eagles. “Calma, last I heard, there wasn’t an injury concern with Kobbie Mainoo – let’s see if he’s in the squad tomorrow! United had beaten Oliver Glasner’s team in the reverse fixture, thanks to Joshua Zirkzee and Mount’s second-half goals. It will be interesting to see if Benjamin Sesko finally gets the nod to start or whether he continues as a super sub. The game kicks off at 2:00 PM UK time.
