A deal for Rashford is a key agenda item of Laporta’s bid for re-election. If he fails to get another term, there is a chance that Rashford will not be a Barcelona player once the season concludes. Fortunately for the United loanee, Laporta is seen as the favourite to win the presidency and extend his tenure.
