West Bromwich Albion have confirmed the managerial appointment of former Manchester United coach Eric Ramsay. Now, the Baggies have confirmed that Ramsay has officially taken charge of the side. Ramsay has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal with West Brom. He will be joined in the dugout by his right-hand man at Minnesota United, Dennis Lawrence. The Welshman joined United in July 2021, leaving his role in Chelsea’s academy to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s backroom staff at Old Trafford. A highly-rated tactician, Ramsay also had spells at Swansea, Shrewsbury and the Wales national team. He parted ways with United in March 2024 to become the boss of Major League Soccer outfit Minnesota United. Under his leadership, Minnesota went to the play-offs. He enjoyed some fantastic moments with the club, including beating Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-1 last May. He helped the Red Devils win the EFL Cup in 2023 and reach the final of the FA Cup, where they lost to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
