“I see a picture here and there”: 17-yo physical monster finally speaks out on swirling United transfer rumours

AIK Fotboll youngster Kevin Filling has admitted he is aware of the rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United, but he is not letting himself get carried away. United eyeing Filling Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe assumed control of United’s operations, the club’s transfer policy has shifted decisively toward securing the best young talents, with an eye toward nurturing their world-class potential. Filling falls into this category. A modern forward, Filling enjoys dropping deep to receive the ball and link up play. He complements this with intelligent movement and excellent finishing, which gives him a distinct edge on the pitch. He is also highly technically gifted, which he combines with remarkable physicality for a 17-year-old. A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United are eager to wrap up the signing of Filling, who is also on the radar of other top clubs in Europe. There have been suggestions that AIK just want a modest €5m to sanction Filling’s sale. Swedish outlet Sportbladet caught up with the youngster after an AIK training session and asked him about the ongoing speculation over his future and interest from United and Borussia Dortmund. 🚨🔄 Borussia Dortmund are now in the race for Kevin #Filling. Filling speaks up Filling said, “I do not think about it that much. There can be talk all the time. Whether it is true or not, I do not really know much about it. I focus on where I am right now and continue to look forward here.” On whether he constantly checks his phone, he answered, “Haha, no, no. I’m just chilling with friends. It’s better than checking my phone.” He continued, “Maybe I see a picture here and there, but it does not matter. It plays no role for me. I am where I am now, and that is how I am as a person.” Filling explained that he doesn’t find it hard to block out the noise. “For some it might be difficult, but not especially for me. I am just like that as a person. I lock myself in a bit, do not think about it too much and just continue from there.” He stressed that his focus is on delivering for AIK. “I will always do my best. I always try to deliver points, and everyone probably knows that.” Meanwhile, United return to action on Sunday when they face Brighton and Hove Albion in the third round of the FA Cup.
