Journalist Confirms Man Utd Could Make “Move” To Sign 20 Goal Brazilian Ace But There’s A Problem

BACK AS journalist Eduardo Burgos has revealed that Man Utd, AC Milan and Saudi Pro League clubs are all vying for the signature of Vasco da Gama forward Rayan, but a “move” is not expected to be sanctioned until the summer. Writing on his X account, Burgos said a transfer in January has been “complicated” by the fact that his club are currently holding out for his €80m (£70m) release clause. Vasco could potentially back down on that valuation at the end of the season, with United among the teams keeping tabs on Rayan’s progress in the meantime. However, for now, it appears the young Brazilian is being priced out of a move. Why is Rayan in such high demand? The 19-year-old had an excellent campaign for Vasco da Gama, scoring 20 goals and providing 1 assist in all competitions. Considering Rayan played the majority of his minutes on the right wing, his numbers look all the more impressive, especially when you factor in his age as well. Man Utd need more competition for Mbeumo With Bryan Mbeumo currently away with Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations, head coach Ruben Amorim has been left with limited choices in his front three. He has deployed Patrick Dorgu with some success on the right wing, but both the Dane and Amad Diallo are regarded more as wingback options by Amorim. For that reason, Rayan could be recruited to add more depth up front. Like Mbeumo, he is left-footed, and due to his age, he may be comfortable not playing every week. Of course, if United are keen on signing him as a squad player, you can understand why they not be prepared to pay anything close to €80m for him. Want more news on Man Utd?
