Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has had another successful start to the season. Season so far The campaign began in dramatic fashion when he missed two crucial penalties in away matches against Fulham and Brentford. Fernandes did score his 100th goal for the club in a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in September, however. What’s more, with two assists against Crystal Palace at the weekend, he surpassed Paul Scholes on the club’s all-time list of Premier League assists. Nominated for Player of the Month The club’s official website reports that, “Bruno Fernandes is one of eight players included in the Premier League’s Player of the Month shortlist for November.” The site explains that “the 31-year-old may not have found the net in the top-flight during November, but he did register four assists.” Two came against Palace last weekend, where he won the Premier League Player of the Matchweek for Matchweek 13. The midfielder also provided assists away to Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur during November. No player made more assists in the month, and he is tied at the top of the Premier League standings with Tottenham Hotspur’s Mohammed Kudus, with five.
