Bid submitted for £36m star, player has said “Yes” to January transfer away from United – report

Joshua Zirkzee underwhelmed in his first start for Manchester United this season. With Benjamin Sesko sidelined, Ruben Amorim finally gave Zirkzee an opportunity to stake his claim for a place in the United team. Against 10-man Everton, United launched a total of 38 crosses, but the 6ft 4in striker looked powerless in front of the Toffees’ central defenders, managing to properly test Jordan Pickford just once. His link-up play was also non-existent.  Zirkzee has fallen down the pecking order at Man United Once Sesko is fully fit, Zirkzee is likely to return to his usual bench role, having struggled to make a difference in the final third since moving to Manchester from Bologna in a deal worth £36.5m. A number of Serie A clubs are monitoring Zirkzee’s situation, as the Dutchman is thought to be “deeply frustrated” at United. It seems AS Roma are pushing the hardest for his signature.
