‘World Has Gone Crazy’ ‘Too Expensive Surely’ Fans React As Man United Revive Interest In £70M Rated Defender

BACK Manchester United are weighing up a move for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite once again, according to reports. Rumour mongers Caught Offside claim the Red Devils are continuing to watch the 23-year-old’s performances 15 months after they had two bids rejected for the player. However, Branthwaite’s asking price is said to be £70m, and fans on X don’t believe the centre-back is worth the outlay: Branthwaite for 70m? Both clubs reportedly had enquiries knocked back by Everton, which demonstrates that the centre-half has plenty of admirers across the Premier League. While United may still be keeping an eye on Branthwaite, you can’t see them making a move anytime soon, with the main priority for January thought to be a new midfielder.
