“I want to…”: In-demand 16yo wonderkid responds to United’s interest as INEOS plan swoop

The next young gem on INEOS’ radar is Kevin Filling of AIK Fotboll. The Swede has captured their attention thanks to his displays this season in the Allsvenskan. The 16-year-old has made two starts for AIK this term and already has two goals to his name. And naturally, his performances have started attracting the big clubs. United entered the race first, and have been joined by the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa. As per Brexit rules, the Red Devils cannot sign him until he turns 18, but they have been doing their due diligence behind the scenes. United interested in Kevin Filling A concrete enquiry was launched, and AIK informed they would not let their wonderkid leave for less than €5 million. As per what The Peoples Person had relayed, INEOS were open to offering €3 million, the same as Villa. Interestingly, United’s plan is to acquire him and loan him out to fellow INEOS-owned side FC Lausanne-Sport. A ploy they have utilised with Enzo Kana-Biyik. Now, Kevin Filling has responded to these rumours during an interaction with Fotboll Direkt. The Sweden U18 international made it clear that for now, his focus is fully on AIK. “It’s nothing special. I don’t know much. I’m focused on AIK and that’s where all my focus lies. So, I’ll just continue there. Wonderkid responds “No. I don’t know anything, so no, I’m not thinking about it that much.” Hew reiterated that his goal is to start more matches moving forward and become a regular goalscorer to help his side pick up more wins. “To take a starting place in the team and do as well as I can in every match and every chance I get. I want to continue and deliver more points,” he added. This shows how mature he is. If he does keep his current form up, it won’t be long until rumours emerge again. Staying in Sweden till he turns 18 won’t be the worst idea from an United perspective. Playing senior football, while growing in stature will only help if he does land up in Manchester.
