United ready to offer €50m for ex-Barcelona star who can’t stop scoring at new club – report

Marcus Rashford’s decision to seek a different environment has worked wonders for him, with the Manchester United loanee thriving at Barcelona. After a difficult 18 months or so in England, Rashford pushed for a move away from the Premier League. In La Liga, the Englishman has rediscovered his confidence, having been directly involved in six goals in just 10 appearances. Confidence plays a huge part in any player’s form, and sometimes, players are better off changing surroundings.  Vitor Roque grabs Man United’s attention In 2023, Barcelona reached an agreement with Athletico Paranaense to sign their highly-rated striker Vitor Roque who drew comparisons to Luis Saurez, owing to his clinical finishing and intelligent movement in the final third. However, Roque struggled to find his feet in Barcelona, leading to a return to his home country early this year. The 20-year-old has found his goalscoring boots at Palmeiras, notching 13 goals and three assists in 27 league games in Brazil’s top flight. He has bagged nine goals in last nine. A report in Spain suggests the Brazil international has once again attracted interest from Europe with his exploits in front of goal.  Man United willing to bid for Roque According to Fichajes, United are prepared to launch a €50 million bid for Roque’s signature.  The Red Devils are thought to be eager to sign a young forward to further strengthen their attacking depth and view the ex-Barca talent as a viable option. Roque has the versatility to play all across the frontline, making him a very appealing target for the Mancunians amid concerns over Joshua Zirkzee’s future at Old Trafford. The Spanish outlet claim United have been following Roque for a long time. They previously considered offering €35m to sign him from Barcelona, but the Blaugrana demanded a higher fee.
