The 18 year old left back made his senior debut last season for the Red Devils.

He made seven appearances in total as he backed up Patrick Dorgu in the final part of the 2024/2025 season.

Impressed on loan at Sheffield Wednesday

Despite scoring an own goal on his debut, Amass has made a strong impression for his new loan side.

Yesterday was no exception as he got a start as a left wing back in a 3-5-2.

Ruben Amorim will be particularly pleased that he is getting gametime in a back five that mirrors the same type of backline the Portuguese coach employs.

Amass had the most tackles in the match for his team with three and he was also the most fouled player, showing he regularly got into dangerous positions.

The youngster was also very impressive defensively, winning eight duels, more than anyone else.

He also had an xA of 0.44 from two key passes and kept the ball ticking over very well with a 91% pass accuracy.

He also demonstrated his threat from attacking positions with two shots on goal.

Amass won two tackles, made two interceptions and one clearance in an all-round showing.

Unfortunately, the loss means that the Owls are rooted to the bottom of the Championship.

Amass will next be in action on Saturday when they host Oxford United in a 3pm BST kick off.
