An opener inside two minutes from Bryan Mbeumo and a late header from Harry Maguire cancelled out Cody Gakpo’s leveller in between to clinch an emphatic victory on the road for Ruben Amorim’s Reds on Sunday.
Now, only two points separate United and their arch-rivals on Merseyside after matchweek eight.
