Bundesliga clubs offering “Kid Messi” first-team football earlier than expected, United have a fight on their hands – report

Manchester United’s academy production line keeps churning out top talent after top talent, with Ruben Amorim having his eyes on multiple Carrington graduates currently.

Last season, he had handed debuts to three young stars, with the Red Devils figuring second in the list of minutes given to teenage stars in the Premier League.

And as per what the The Peoples Person has already relayed, quite a few new youngsters could break through this term, with Jim Thwaites catching the boss’ eye as well as Sekou Kone.

However, the hottest property by far at Carrington currently is JJ Gabriel, who at 14 years, is already setting the U18 league alight.

JJ Gabriel on fire

In four games this season, he has five goals to his name, including a first-half hat-trick against Derby. And naturally, Amorim has been pretty impressed with what he has seen.

In fact, the England U15 international will reportedly be called up to train with the first team on occasions this season, which shows what a bright future he will have should he stay put.

Jason Wilcox had to work overtime to keep him in Manchester, but for how long, it remains to be seen. According to The Sun, he is being eyed by several Bundesliga clubs.

“UNITED starlet JJ Gabriel continues to catch the eye with his performances both within the club’s academy and further afield.

“A host of German clubs are understood to have made their interest in him clear should he and his family wish to follow in the footsteps of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho by leaving England to further his career in the Bundesliga.

And despite the assurances of Amorim and United, a move to Germany is tempting given the success English players have enjoyed there.

Bundesliga clubs ready to pounce

Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho, and Jobe Bellingham are all prime examples of players who were handed senior exposure quite early since switching the the Bundesliga.

A source told the publication: “The success of the likes of Bellingham and Sancho in Germany is a big selling point for German clubs trying to poach some of the Premier League’s best young talents.

“They can offer them first team football at an earlier age than a lot of clubs in the UK.”

Interestingly, the 20-time English league champions feel they have done a lot to convince “Kid Messi” and his family that the best place for him to develop is at Carrington.

Now, the final decision will rest on JJ Gabriel and his family.
