Tyrell Malacia has reportedly closed off the prospect of joining Eyupspor on loan for the season.
It was reported yesterday that Manchester United had accepted a loan offer from the Turkish outfit to take Malacia off their hands, with the defender now the only remaining member of Ruben Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’ left at Carrington.
He has watched on whilst Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho all secured moves elsewhere – some of which even went down to the wire on deadline day.
Tyrell Malacia faces hugely uncertain future
The Dutch international has not featured at all for United since returning from his temporary spell with PSV Eindhoven in June. He did claim an Eredivisie winners’ medal upon the culmination of 2024/2025, but the club opted against signing him permanently.
As a result, he was re-added to Amorim’s ranks over the summer, although it’s thought the head coach sees little to no use for Malacia in his plans this campaign.
In the build up to last Monday’s 7pm transfer deadline, Malacia was on the verge of joining Elche on loan before the prospective move fell through at the final stages when an agreement could not be reached over a buy option/obligation.
It left him with few alternatives to choose from, given the window had closed for the majority of Europe – hence being approached by a Turkish suitor, where they have until this Friday to get any business over the line.

Yet, it now looks as though a Super Lig venture is off the cards for the 26-year-old. TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook claims Malacia is ‘not overly keen by all accounts’, rendering any potential deal now highly unlikely.

Malacia made eight appearances under Amorim after returning from his 18-month injury layoff last November. He is contracted to United until next June, although the board may activate his 12-month extension to protect his resale value.
