The summer transfer window has closed and Manchester United Women’s business is now concluded, with the WSL due to start this weekend.

Midfielder Julia Zigiotti Olme was the Reds’ first incoming of the summer, joining on the last day of July from Bayern Munich, after winning the Frauen-Bundesliga title with the Bavarians last season.

Zigiotti’s fellow Sweden international Fridolina Rolfo, a versatile left-sided player capable of playing as a full-back or a winger, was the next to sign after four years at Barcelona.

That was before attacking midfielder Jess Park completed a crosstown move from Manchester City on deadline day (4 September), shortly before the window closed at 23:00 BST.

As far as outgoings are concerned, the club wished good luck to Alyssa Aherne and Aoife Mannion as the pair departed upon the expiry of their contracts in June.

The following month, Jess Simpson joined Southampton on loan for the 2025/26 campaign. Simpson’s move south was the first of five temporary moves to WSL2 clubs that were announced across the window for young Reds.

In August, Lucy Newell signed for Birmingham City, while Emma Watson headed to the capital to spend the campaign at Crystal Palace.

On deadline day, Evie Rabjohn became the second Red to secure a switch to Sunderland in less than 24 hours, after Keira Barry‘s half-season transfer to the Wearsiders was made official a day earlier.

Just before the window shut, a permanent transfer to Manchester City was confirmed for Grace Clinton.
