Manchester United had major decisions to make this summer with regards to players who were no longer in Ruben Amorim’s plans.

This included the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho and it looks they will eventually manage to find a solution for all of them.

Rashford has left on loan to Barcelona, Garnacho on a permanent basis to Chelsea and Antony and Sancho are closing in on exits.

As per journalist Florian Plettenberg, Premier League club Aston Villa have reached an agreement to sign Jadon Sancho on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

It has been mentioned that Villa will be paying an undisclosed loan fee to United for Sancho. They will also be taking on 80% of his wages, which should amount to around £200,000 per week, considering his salary at Manchester United is around £250,000-per-week. So Man Utd have agreed to pay £50,000 a week.

Third loan spell on the trot – Is this finally the end?

This will be Sancho’s third successive loan spell away from Man Utd. He had a very good time at Borussia Dortmund, a mixed time at Chelsea and now awaits to see what the future holds at Aston Villa. The silver lining for him is that he will get to compete at the highest level.

Sancho has a contract at Manchester United until 2026 and if Villa don’t have a buy-clause or don’t reach an agreement with the Red Devils, the Englishman has to return to Old Trafford next summer, where his future seems to be all but over.

Ideally, Man Utd might have been keen on letting Sancho leave on a permanent deal this summer.

The Englishman is versatile and can play both as a winger and an attacking midfielder and Unai Emery could benefit from having his creative presence in the squad.

Villa have not started the new season well. Sancho, when fit and firing, can have an excellent impact at the Midlands club. The issue with him however is that his inconsistency makes him a very unreliable player to count on.

The next few hours should see this deal go through, provided Sancho passes his medical. Let’s wait and see if this is the last Man Utd fans have to see of the Englishman or if the saga repeats itself next summer.
