Manchester United’s 2025/26 Carabao Cup campaign will start against Grimsby Town at Blundell Park after the second-round draw was completed.
Ruben Amorim’s Reds are entering the competition at a slightly earlier stage than usual due to our lack of European football this season.
The second-round draw was conducted live on Sky Sports during the build-up to Birmingham City’s first-round tie against Sheffield United.
United were attributed to ball number 10 in the northern section of the draw. The ceremony included 11 other Premier League clubs not competing on the continent this campaign.
Our fixture against League Two side Grimsby will be held in the week between the top-flight fixtures against Fulham and Burnley.
The exact date and kick-off time will be communicated as quickly as possible.
