Congratulations to our no. 7, Ella Toone who has announced her engagement to partner Joe Bunney on Instagram.
After recently winning Euro 2025 with England, Toone shared images of Bunney’s proposal in Spain.
Her United team-mates, who were preparing to take on Manchester City in a pre-season friendly, were quick to congratulate their much-loved colleague.
Melvine Malard commented: “You two are so beautiful.”
Captain Maya Le Tissier sent a host of emojis and Millie Turner said: “Best news in the world.”
Other familiar faces to wish the couple well were Dame Kelly Holmes who said: “Congrats” and TV celebrity Vick Hope, who sent a series of love-heart emojis.
Bunney popped the question to Toone, whom he has been dating for three years, while the pair were on holiday in Ibiza.
In the sweet shot shared on the social-media site, Bunney is pictured getting down on one knee in front of a heart made of roses surrounding the words ‘Will you marry me?’ The pair also shared a picture of them both smiling, toasting champagne and with Bunney’s son Arlo, who also shared in the couple’s special occasion.
