We asked AI to predict Benjamin Sesko’s first season at Man United if he were to join the club this summer.
Man United are working to land their third major signing of the summer after they already added Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to provide more goals for Ruben Amorim.
However, they aren’t done with improving their attack, as they are advancing in a deal to secure Sesko, who has also been subject to bids from Newcastle United. The Magpies want him as a cover if Alexander Isak leaves to join Liverpool this summer.
Sesko was excellent last season for RB Leipzig, scoring 21 goals and providing six assists for the Bundesliga side. It leaves many Man United fans optimistic about next year if they manage to secure the 22-year-old.
With that in mind, we asked Chat GPT to predict what Sesko’s first season at Old Trafford could look like, and this is what it said…
AI predicts Sesko’s first year at Man United
Ahead of the potential signing of Sesko, this is what AI predicted when it simulated the Slovenian attacker’s first year as Man United’s new target man.
Firstly, starting with statistics, AI predicted that Sesko would make 40 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils, including 33 of those in the Premier League. It said that he would score 18 goals, with 15 in the league.
Combine that with the added goals of Cunha and Mbeumo, and Man United could have a very exciting front three next season.
Furthermore, AI also suggested that Sesko would record six assists, and have a shot conversion rate of around 18%, which is an impressive number for a young striker.
In terms of Man United’s team achievements, it said the Red Devils would finish third in the Premier League, seeing drastic improvement on their past couple of years. It also said that Amorim’s side would win the FA Cup, and reach the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.
In all, if AI’s simulation did prove to be correct, it would be an excellent return from Sesko, and a Man United side that really struggled last year. Cautious optimism around Old Trafford.
