The redeveloped main building at Manchester United’s Carrington training ground will offer the Reds squad a fresh start ahead of the new season, says head coach Ruben Amorim.
The boss sat down with club media in Chicago — United’s base while on Tour 2025, presented by Snapdragon, in the USA — to discuss cultural change and hopes for the future.
Speaking engagingly throughout, Ruben was asked about the growing momentum at United, with on-lookers at training in games noting a wholly positive mood amongst the camp while on tour.
One key upcoming date is the opening of the new main building at Carrington, which Amorim agrees will be another boost for United’s momentum.
“It’s like a new start with different standards and I think to go to our building, to the new building is like a fresh start,” he said.

“So, I think the timing is completely perfect to do everything. The good thing is that everybody’s aligned what we need to do and now it’s to win games, game by game try to win every game and the performance are really important as well.”
Ruben was also reminded of his quote to United fans at Old Trafford at the end of last season, when the squad responded well to Europa League final defeat by beating Aston Villa at home. He told supporters then that ‘good days are coming.’
Interviewer Harry Robinson questioned whether he had more confidence in that statement now, after time to reflect and midway through a positive pre-season.
“Yes, we will have bad days and good days,” he began.
“But for everything that I said to you [about] the organisation of the club, the idea of bringing players with a certain character, that is something that is not [about] the coach, it’s the club [overall].
