It emerged a while ago that Manchester United were interested in signing PSG shot stopper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, who earns around £168,000 a week at the French club. The Italian international is coming off a great season with the Champions League winners.
Now, as per French outlet L’Equipe, the Red Devils have now moved forward to sign the talented ex-AC Milan shot-stopper this summer.
Man Utd are looking to take advantage of the stalling contract negotiations between the player and his current club.
PSG have failed to get Donnarumma to agree to a new deal with the player now entering the final 12 months of his current deal. The French club have already made contingency plans by pushing to sign Lucas Chevalier.
Meanwhile, Man Utd should be able to sign Donnarumma on a bargain this summer due to his contract situation.
The 26-year-old would have to be convinced about a potential move to Old Trafford, considering their sporting situation.
Christopher Vivell & co. need to find a way to convince the player of the project Ruben Amorim is building at the M16 and ask Donnarumma to commit to the long haul.
It remains to be seen if United push to secure his signature and if he is seen wearing a Man Utd jersey next season.
