Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a new goalkeeping signing.
Experienced vs young
Numerous reliable reports have stated that United are looking to add a goalkeeper this summer.
The club is reportedly unsure whether they want to add an experienced keeper or someone who can be number two and compete with Andre Onana in the long term.
There have been many recent links to Belgian shot stopper, Senne Lammens who is just 23 years old.
United have allegedly already initiated talks with his club Royal Antwerp FC and the player would be very open to joining a “dream” club.
Emiliano Martinez rumours
Nonetheless, there have been persistent rumours from Argentina that United have in fact made a move for the Argentine keeper, Emiliano Martinez.
The keeper is also said to be keen on moving to Old Trafford and some journalists have even suggested United have had a loan move rejected for the player.
The “chosen one”
TYC sports journalist Germán García Grova has posted on X that United are very much advancing in their pursuit of a new number one.
He reported that, United have “opened formal negotiations for Emiliano Martínez.”
It was also stated that “Dibu is the chosen one by Rubén Amorim.”
There was also confirmation that United did indeed have a loan offer knocked back by the Villans.

Some reports have suggested that United will not move for Martinez unless they can first sell Andre Onana, who currently looks likely so stay at Old Trafford due to a lack of concrete interest.
