Premier League clubs kick off their pre-season fixtures this weekend so we’ve got 20 questions based (sometimes loosely) around every side’s schedule over the next month…
We love pre-season for two reasons: Firstly, it’s a sign the proper stuff is almost back; and secondly, the sheer ramdom-ness of some of the fixtures it throws up.
Perhaps we get a little less of that these days while the big boys embark on world tours to rinse greet their fans in far-flung places, but there are still some belting fixtures we simply wouldn’t otherwise see.
The first friendlies take place this weekend, with most players allowed no more than 45 minutes before the fitness coaches start sweating.
