Young Manchester United defender Sonny Aljofree has joined League Two club Notts County on loan for the 2025/26 season.
The 20-year-old defender aims to build on a highly successful 2024/25 loan at Accrington Stanley, for whom he made 25 league appearances.
Prior to that, Sonny had enjoyed time with Altrincham as part of our innovative loan programme, having previously been a regular at youth level, including as captain of our Under-21s side.
Sonny signed a new contract at United before embarking on his loan to Accrington Stanley in 2024/25.
In 2022, Aljofree was part of the squad which lifted the FA Youth Cup, playing alongside Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho in the final victory over Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.
He also represented the club’s first-team in pre-season fixtures against Wrexham, in 2023, and Rosenborg, in 2024.
