Manchester United pair Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro are in contention for the 2025 Golden Boy award.
The two Reds have earned a place on the long list of contenders for the best men’s player in Europe under the age of 21, as compiled by Italian publication Tuttosport.
Despite their young ages, Leny, 19, and Kobbie, 20, have established themselves as regular starters in the first team.
Fans can vote on the Golden Boy award here.
As always, there is stiff competition for this individual trophy, which was won last year by Spain and Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal who was 17 at the time.
Yamal is in the frame for the trophy again, among 100 players who have been nominated.
Other standout names included are Real Madrid’s Endrick, his new team-mate Dean Huijsen who recently arrived from Bournemouth, and Desire Doue of Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.
There’s plenty of Premier League representatives too such as Arsenal duo Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri; Chelsea’s Tyrique George and Marc Guiu; Tottenham Hotspur trio Mathys Tel, Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall; and Jack Hinshelwood of Brighton & Hove Albion.
The list will be reduced in October, when journalists will vote using a points system, before the announcement of the winner is due to be made in November.
Former holders of the trophy include Wayne Rooney (2004), Anderson (2008) and Anthony Martial (2015), while Paul Pogba lifted it during his first spell at Juventus in 2013.
Best of luck to Kobbie and Leny – get voting here, Reds!
