Manchester United’s latest signing, Matheus Cunha, has been snapped having dinner with Brazilian football royalty.
Cunha was officially announced as a Manchester United player on the club’s website yesterday.
Speaking on the move he proclaimed his love for United and that he grew up watching the team as a boy in Brazil.
The 26 year old also posted a polaroid of himself in the club’s new home shirt accompanied with the words, “it’s all about you following your dreams!”
It certainly has been a big week for United’s new signing as he was also in Brazil, providing an assist for Vinicius Junior in his national team’s 1-0 win over Paraguay.
After the match, Brazilian icon Ronaldinho posted a picture of Cunha having dinner with himself, Ronaldo and Vinicius.
United fans will be excited to see their new signing rubbing shoulders with some of the crème de la crème of Brazilian football.
Cunha has spoken in the past of his friendship with Barcelona legend Ronaldinho.
He explained that he is his idol and that the World Cup winner sometimes texts him advice about his game.
Cunha highlighted the influence that the icon has had on his playing style by stating, “I see him always as the map of how to play.”
He will now have a well-earned summer break and join up with United’s pre-season preparations next month.
Cunha scored an impressive 17 goals and provided six assists in all competitions last year, which will have United fans licking their lips in anticipation.

Alex is a huge Manchester United fan, inspired by greats of his homeland such as George Best, Harry Gregg and Norman Whiteside. Proud owner of such niche shirts such as Kleberson, Eric Djemba-Djemba and Gary Neville. Grew up pretending to be Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the back garden, with little success.
