Aston Villa plotting shock move for United star as Emery is ready to save career of another Amorim reject – report

Aston Villa are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho.

Sancho is officially back at United after Chelsea decided against turning his loan move into a permanent deal.

The Blues tried to convince him to sign a new contract on reduced terms but the 25-year-old declined. Accordingly, they decided to pay a £5 million penalty to send him back to Old Trafford.

However, Ruben Amorim has no place for Sancho in his first-team plans, and United are looking to quickly move him on. Surprisingly, he is not short of suitors.

According to Teamtalk, Villa, Napoli, and AC Milan are all interested in signing Sancho this summer.

Villa signed Marcus Rashford from United on loan in January after the forward fell out of favour with Amorim. The Lions have an option to sign him permanently for £40m.

However, despite enjoying a prolific short stint under Unai Emery, Rashford isn’t keen on continuing at Villa. It has been widely reported that the United academy product wants to join Barcelona this summer.

Accordingly, Teamtalk claim that Villa are looking for a “new player on the left-side of attack” and could look to sign Sancho as Rashford’s replacement.

Napoli are also interested in Sancho, as they continue the search for a left-winger to fill the void left by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in January.

Having said that, it is difficult to see any top European club agreeing to pay Sancho anywhere close to his reported £300,000-a-week wages, considering his form and questionable work ethic.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming three Saudi Pro League clubs are following Sancho.

A move to the Gulf Kingdom would be best for one of United’s highest-paid players if his priority is taking home a big cheque.
