Ruben Amorim’s pre-match press conference is to be held at a time different to the usual schedule.
The Manchester United head coach will speak to the media to preview Sunday’s final game of the Premier League season, at home to Aston Villa, on Saturday afternoon.
We will release our full coverage of the briefing at 13:30 BST, on the eve of the Old Trafford encounter with a side chasing 2025/26 Champions League qualification.
The reason for the timing is, of course, our midweek commitments in Bilbao, as the Reds lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.
The desperately disappointing end to our unbeaten record in Europe all season means the Reds have to pick ourselves up for the 16:00 BST kick-off against the Midlanders.
United could finish 14th with a victory, depending on results elsewhere, as it will be hoped the players can put Wednesday’s frustrations behind them.
Ruben will field questions from journalists and is likely to be asked about his team plans for the final day.
Leny Yoro was fit enough to not only play but also arguably be our best performer on the night at San Mames, while Diogo Dalot and Joshua Zirkzee returned from their lay-offs as substitutes.
Jonny Evans was an unused substitute and it has been wondered if any of the youngsters may be given a run-out.
Following the game, the squad is flying out to the Far East for friendlies against ASEAN All-Stars and Hong Kong China next week.
